I know that it was probably only mud originally, but I think it would be great if it was blood. One of my favorite scenes of the show. looks like Mary and Jesus.

Fun fact: the Pieta (the famous painting depicting Mary cradling the body of Jesus in her arms) was heavily inspired by a much older painting of Venus cradling the body of her lover, Adonis.

It does look like the popular sculpture of the 'Virgin' Mary holding the body of Jesus in her arms.

You're right, I never realized that; and he even comes back from the dead … one of the many parallels to Christianity in the series. Your title is perfect, and your artwork is excellent.
